ST. GEORGE - The St. George Business and Professional Women have elected new officers for 2008-09. The new officers are:

  • Nina Heck, Oh My Heck Marketing, Inc., president;
  • Debi Barmonde, Dixie Business Alliance, president-elect;
  • Carolyn Washburn, Utah State University, first vice president;
  • Lenee Clark, Labrum Insurance, recording secretary;
  • Laura Keefe, State Bank of Southern Utah, treasurer;
  • Brianna Southwick, State Bank of Southern Utah, assistant treasurer;
  • Cindy Watts, nominations chair;
  • RaNita Parrish, Henriksen Butler, historian;
  • Suzanne Moore, Wells Fargo, YC chairwoman; and
  • Dr. Joan Eggert, Southern Utah Women's Health Center, past president.


"Since 1919, BPW/USA has been promoting equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information," said Heck. "Our local BPW will continue to address issues of concern to working women in our community. We will be hosting several events throughout the year to raise awareness of these issues, provide networking opportunities and career development programs."

St. George Local BPW meets at 11:45 a.m. for networking and noon to 1 p.m. for lunch the second Tuesday of every month at the Holiday Inn located at 850 S. Bluff St.
